How To....[]

Add the frequency data in these pages to your SageTV setup.

1) Identify the tuner and corresponding .frq file you would like to update, as an example if you a using a "FireDTV S2" satellite tuner this will (normally) appear in the following folder:-

 Windows XP - C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\

  Windows Vista 64 - C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\

The file you need to update will be in this folder and should look something like:-

 FireDTV BDA Receiver DVBS2-0-DVB-S.frq

Open this file with Windows Note Pad, this can be done by right clicking on the file and choosing "open with" then selecting "Note Pad" from the options.

Once the file is opened you can edit it, the first 10 or so lines will start with a "#", followed by 3 or 4 blank lines and then the .frq data. Simply delete the existing data (everything after the 3 or 4 blank lines) then copy the data from this site and paste it in to the file.

Next save the file.

Stop and restart SageTV.

As far as the .frq file is concerned you are done, next you need to update your XMLTV file to reflect any new or deleted channels and/or changes to channel numbers etc.

Using the XMLTV plugin
